I understand that, but I heard Harrisburg--for example--is contemplating an assault weapons ban for the city which likely will include hi cap mags, so I wouldn't be able to take my 15 round Beretta mag with me inside city limits.

And yes, it violates preemption but merely DISCUSSING it and trying to get it for vote shows they don't give a shit about the UFA because if they cared about the law they would not ignore it.

The UFA certainly hasn't stopped the City of Philadelphia from enacting numerous ordinances in violation of the UFA.

Not to mention many towns in PA following the lead of Philadelphia by passing lost/stolen ordinances as well.

Illegal as they are, you could still be charged with and have to defend against the illegal ordinances.

I don't disagree with either of you on that account.

RE: Are you considering a change in your carry weapon if mag limits happen?
To answer the OP's question; I am in the market for a new carry gun, so if a ban happens before that time, then yes I guess I will have to make some other considerations.

At this time I carry 9mm because it is a good round and I can carry a fair amount concealed. If we have to go to lower round mags I will probably jump to a .45 1911. The only reason I do not carry a 1911 now is simply because of the round count.

If something real crazy happens and we go to the 7 round crap that NY just went to, I will pick up a .357 (although my local shop has a .44 magnum for sale ShootingCowboySmiley-1)

Now I know you need to spend time at this site http://www.bradycampaign.org/ instead of over here. I love your outright hypocrisy specifically your "we all need to stick together" bullshit.

Then don't try, i don't particularly respect your opinion anyway.

I think you are the captain of "Giving us gun owners a bad name", with all your goofy OC "encounters," if you really want to know. I personally think you are a ticking time bomb, and that YOU are going to get YOURself shot by the Philly PD eventually.

Here's a thought, why don't you start "open carrying" an AR in Philly?

o.O

Please cite the vast number of situations where this happened. Never mind.. I'm pretty sure you might find one or maybe two observations in which you'll base this nonsensical logic.

I hope you understand who would be legally justified in their actions under the law. The problem will sort itself out. I don't know which is more stupid, suicidal and reckless. OC'ing a rifle in Philly or pointing a gun at someone who is bold enough to OC a rifle in Philly.

Wake up to reality...it is all around you.

And as I already pointed out, the "open carrier" (more accurately described as: potential mass murderer brandishing an assault weapon) would never even know i was watching him. In the infantry, they teach you about this concept called cover and concealment.

Anyone "open carrying" an assault weapon in Philadelphia is 90% likely to be about to commit a series of heinous crimes. I mean what kind of fantasy world are you folks living in? This is NOT Mayberry!!!

16 republicans have ensured a vote on gun control in the senate. Are you still going to support these morons?! http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/201...18096.html

Maybe I'll just start carrying two, three, or four guns all loaded with 10 rounds.

Oh wait, that law would be unconstitutional so I'll just keep carrying my G19.

I consider comfort, concealability as factors in what I carry.

However, stopping power is also an issue. My XD-9sc can carry 13 or 16 rds, but why not switch to my xd-40sc or Glock 30 if a 10 round mag becomes a reality?

Have any of you had similar thoughts?

RE: Are you considering a change in your carry weapon if mag limits happen?
Nope. I carried 5 before, and I'll carry 5 after.

And most of the "gun free" world is famous for the mass government sanctioned executions because of the lack of guns"...

RE: Are you considering a change in your carry weapon if mag limits happen?
I plan to carry only as many bullets as required to stop any possible threats.

Unless the .gov can provide a 100% concrete guarantee that 10 rounds or less will do that, then... Angel
