CIA M70AB2 Yugo AK47 Underfolder

RE: CIA M70AB2 Yugo AK47 Underfolder
It's not "comfortable", but it's not as uncomfortable as I've been led to believe.

I fired 6 mags (fast) of either 20, or 30 rounds each and never noticed any discomfort in my cheek afterward. There were a few minutes between each mag, but still, it isn't bad.

The stock feels a lot better against the shoulder than I expected too.
That I did feel slightly the next day, but I'd suspect even a 12 year old girl wouldn't complain about it.

Lots of people seem to wrap that side in paracord. (see here for tutorial)

I may do that, but I think I'm going to try and make one out of leather first.
I was wandering around in the craft store, carrying the basket for my wife, and twiddling my thumbs when I saw small, rectangular strips of leather that got my gears turning.
I can't see that it would be that hard to do and it may be able to be padded a little by wrapping it over some foam.

Some accessories to go with it...

Got the mags and grenade spigots cleaned up, but I still need to get the Cosmoline off of the bayonets.

It's very quiet in here. If you don't want to see any more, just say so. Big Grin

Yeah, that's a brand new rifle, mud, running water, and rocks.

PERFECT backdrop for it! Big Grin

EM, did you tear the Yugo apart and try and verify the US made parts?

It's a typical Century rifle that hasn't been fussed with, so I have no reason to believe it's anything other than correct.

Just checked mine and it also has about a quarter inch play in the stock.

Hey, thanks for checking and letting me know!
I assumed it was simply a tradeoff of the design. Everything else is nice and snug as far as "side to side" and the actual action of folding and locking it into the folded position.

Rep sent!
