10 RIFLES YOU SHOULD OWN BEFORE YOU DIE (10 Photos)
In the introduction of “The Rifle Book,” Jack O’Connor wrote, “To me the rifle has always been the most romantic of all weapons, and of all rifles the one I love most is the rifle for big game… I like a handgun, I hold a shotgun in high regard; but rifles—well, I love the darned things.” Here you'll find a subjective list of the ones I believe you should own at some time in your life, and why. http://www.americanrifleman.org/GalleryI...n=RightRig

Well, I guess I must have one foot in the grave...I have owned 9 of the ten. The one I am lacking I will never own the Winchester 52 C.

Maybe I can substitute a Trap door Sharps for the 52 C.

Not feelin' it. I'd only own 3 of the 10: the Win '94, the Browning .22, and the AR. The rest are Fudd specials.

I know right? I was saying the same thing. How could they not include the Ruger 10/22? Shrug

Winchester Model 70 - meh, Winchester 94 - agreed, Manlicher - nice but not my type, Ruger No. 1 - I like it but not a must owned for me, Savage 99 - meh, Remington Model 7 -nice but not my type, Winchester 52 C - nice but not my type, Browning 22 Auto - meh, AR-15 - hell yeah!, Custom rifle - agreed.

Mostly FUDD guns. They were very nice looking, but not exactly what I look for in a rifle. What needed to be added:
1) Ruger 10/22
2) M1 Garand
3) M1A Springfield
4) Mauser k98
5) Springfield 1903
6) Springfield 1873
7) AK-47 type rifle
8) SKS
9) Mosin Nagant
10) Remington 700

^^ Nice list, I totally agree with the Springfield 1873 (Only single shot I want). I would also add a Lee-Enfield rifle (Can be a WWII 303 or one of those Indian 7.62 NATO models). Just something magical about a bolt action with a 10-12 round box magazine plus I heard the actions on them are nice.

Can I assume the person who made this list made it back in the 70's?
