Joey’s mother, Marissa Sargeant, alleges that her son is the victim of excessive force used by the police to torture and brutalize him while he was handcuffed, and that they then frightened him to keep him from telling anyone. She is convinced that he was struck in the face by the Taser barb and “punched” several times in the face causing a nasal fracture as he left Walmart and was approached by authorities. Told of Heckler’s explanation of falling as the cause of the severity of his injuries, Sargeant responded: “That’s impossible. Did he get up and fall 15 more times?”

Until the facts are out, I'm not believing "excessive force". Sounds like the kids stole from Walmart, ran from the cops, got arrested, ran some more, got a beat down for running. But everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Just unwise to run when handcuffed...
If he was held for 3 days and parents unable to see him, that was wrong.

When I was a student at Temple, I saw a lot of females with marks on their faces. At first it looked like they got into a fight or got beat by a guy. Then it turns out they were drunk and fell, but their face broke their fall. I believe the kid ran, got tased, and his face broke his fall since his body cramped up. I doubt the police "rolled" on him after they caught him.

You can see how he landed on the one whole side of his face... and the broken nose made the area under his eyes swell up. But the other half of his face (except for the Taser hole) and his lips are untouched. Hardly the look of a beat down ... and no body beat down photos...so the officers just repeatedly hit him in the same spot he fell on?

His poor Momma left out the fact that he ran cuffed. What happens when you fall and don't use your hands? Face plant!! Punk got caught stealing. His Momma should have finished what she accuses the Cops of doing....

Quote:Bucks woman arrested for alleged shoplifting
TULLYTOWN She made national headlines last year, alleging police brutality after officers used a Taser on her handcuffed son, 14, who fled from police and fell. The image of his bloodied face went viral.
Now, Marissa Sargeant is said to have shoplifted from the same Bucks County Walmart where her son was arrested for shoplifting and subsequently injured.
Sargeant and a relative allegedly took $100 worth of unnamed items from the store in Tullytown on Thursday and were arrested after a Walmart employee called police.
Sargeant remained in Bucks County prison on Friday, unable to post bail and facing felony theft charges because she has three prior shoplifting convictions, court records stated.
Sargeant's son, Joey Williams, was arrested outside the Walmart last fall. Sargeant said police used too much force and caused his injuries, which included a broken nose. A photo of his injured face spawned Internet headlines across the country.
Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler later cleared police of any wrongdoing. He said the officers were justified in using the Taser to prevent the boy from running handcuffed into heavy traffic and to protect the officers' safety on a busy road.

It's a shame we can't twist this story into making the police look bad.
