I can pretty much say the same thing. I tried gun after gun until getting the Eagle last year. I've only bought one handgun since, the 1911 that I now carry. My only complaint is now I want another 2011 so I have a primary and backup.

There's no real point in shooting .45 in a double stack 1911 unless you want the reload advantage. .45 at minor loads drops fast out at 25 yards and can be an issue if you aren't familiar with it.

The Para P-16 Limited isn't a bad gun. Weight shouldn't be a real concern. From C-A class I shot my 43 oz gun (Edge) a lot better than my 34 oz gun (bushed Eagle). When I made M I started to shoot them about the same. I actually LOVED the Edge with the tungsten barrel sleeve at about 46 oz, but I kept destroying them.

I hate posts like this. I wasn't even thinking about buying a gun, now you have me wanting a .40.... Smile I'm not set up to reload it, but I do have a pretty good size pile of range pick up .40 brass.....
