1911, 5.5" Threaded barrel, Tall Front Sight, Railed Frame.-->What Holster?
Im working with a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II TFS in .45. I knew going into this purchase that holster fit may be a challenge. I like a challenge. What I'm looking for is an OWB holster that won't flop or turn and retention that is quick and easy to remove. What about IWB?

I emailed Aliengear and it looks like their IWB/OWB holsters for the Kimber Custom TLE/RL II might not work. The only difference being the 5.5" threaded barrel and high profile sights on mine.

What say you PA2A?

Contact ripoff, they will customize one for you. I think there's a $90 design fee plus the price of the holster. I was just in Lancaster at burle industrial park and a vendor was advertising 400 models and build your own.

I think I may have one custom made here locally. There are a bunch of amish leather shops here too and ones that have made holsters.

After thinking about it though I definitely want to have a shoulder rig made first. I wear button down shirts a lot and also drive a lot too so something horizontal tucked under the shirt would be great.

I found an amish leatherworker here locally that makes custom gun holsters on the side. He works making belts and things for Tory Leather. He is going to be making a custom shoulder holster and matching gun belt for the Kimber.

And the price he quoted will be well below 200 doll hairs.

I'll let yins know when it is finished! Should be 2-3 weeks.
