2014 Best State for Gun Owners
#1
I'm not sure where we landed last year but we were ranked as #31 this year. I think we slid back compared to other State in what they have done with their carry laws.

That's bullshit that Texas is ranked higher. They don't have open carry and it's technically illegal to even print so pocket-carry is out of the question down there.

And you can't carry in many places, such as bars. I get sick of hearing people say "Gotta love Texas!" when it comes to gun rights. Shows how ignorant they are, and this article is.

Bull shit list. The only thing PA could work on is allowing loaded long guns in vehicles and better reciprocity with other states. Regardless, we should be ranked better than 31

And constitutional carry, and shall certify, and eliminating the "registry that's not a registry", and a whole lot of other things....

This much we agree on.

I think PA should be ranked better as well but ivwarrior rasises a good point, especially with the record keeping by the PSP on pistol purchases. It's back door registration.

Another point that hasn't been brought up yet is that we are only 1 of 2 States that do not allow semiautomatic rifles for hunting, not to mention some areas having ridiculous limitations on firearms for hunting like slug shotguns only in Allegheny County.

PA is pretty decent in some regards and pretty backwards on others when you look at what other States allow or get out of the way as far as restrictions go.

As long as the handgun sales database us functional, I'm not surprised to see pa ranked badly. That thing is terrible.

That being said, I don't know that I would trade it for brandishing laws, loss of open carry, restaurant and bar carry, duty to inform, and so on.
