I went to an organic garden/farm right in the friggin city today looking for "organic mulch" as requested by a customer.

Strange. Basically right in a run-down part of town where the houses are barely 3' apart. Looks like the "farm" is situated on about 4 vacant lots where buildings had been torn down.

Tons of veggies for such a small area - and chickens... they have chickens.

When I left I was a registered democrat, a lesbian, and a Bernie supporter.

I wish you could grow beef jerky in a garden.

Spicy... teriyaki... BBQ...

Mmmmmmm... beef jerky. It's meat you can put in your pocket!

Just found something thought I'd pass along.

I'm sure everyone is familiar with these:

Sold at many stores that sell gardening supplies. Last summer I had picked up a couple extra packages and every single one of them leaked. Turns out that the rubber grommet inserted from the factory in the female side was inserted backwards. I flipped all of them around and now they don't leak.

Just got done watering and I saw even more cukes and beans sprouted, I think at least one broccoli has popped up and possibly carrots or radishes. My wife planted the carrots and radishes so I'm not sure what's coming up yet.

Nothing coming up in my garden but a few weeds.
Won't be anything in it until I put something in it.
