PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 21-year-old man murdered execution-style – shot to death in a grocery store filled with customers.

It happened Monday evening in the 1900 block of W. Susquehanna Avenue in North Philadelphia.

Brutal and brazen, police say is the gunman who entered the grocery store in broad daylight and fired at least 14 shots, killing a young father, leaving family and friends in disbelief.

Cheryl Williams, the victim’s Godmother said, “Too many young men are just losing their lives. It’s hard.”

Police tell us the shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. The victim was among the 10 people inside at the time. According to investigators, the surveillance video inside the store shows the 21-year-old targeted and ambushed.

All the surveillance in the world still can't stop bad people from doing bad things.

According to the Brady Bunch, this type of shit happened because we have the right to carry guns. I should have known getting that permit would get some one killed, somewhere.

I'll bet my paycheck that this was drug related and shot by someone who was prohibited from owning a firearm anyways.

Yeah, but, but.... if we didn't have guns, there would be no way he could've gotten the gun, so we are at fault for wanting and having guns that kill.

/sarcasm.

This is clearly the grocery store's fault for not having metal detectors and security guards that grope everyone before they're allowed to enter the store.

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.

Maybe but what is sure is that somebody wanted to send a message by doing it this way.
