.22 LR available
#1
I was just looking through Pennswoods.net and stumbled upon an ad for a shop in the State College area that claims to have a truckload of .22 LR and they're saying "No buying limits".
http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/classi...ex=2850446

I've never been to this store, nor do I know anyone who has. I have no affiliation whatsoever, I'm just passing along an ad that may be of benefit to other members here. Their prices may be OK, or maybe not?. I looked at their web site for ammo prices and didn't see any.

I've been finding enough .22 LR locally to keep me satisfied lately, I don't know what the situation is anywhere else but from the grumbling I guess it isn't great so I decided to pass this along to anyone who may be interested.
(The supply around here isn't great and the prices aren't good, but I have been able to buy some occasionally. The price has been around 8¢per round for CCI sub sonic and 9¢ for CCI standard velocity and Mini-Mag).

Here's the deal for those of you close enough to State College / Warriors Mark area to make it worth your while, (If the prices aren't too outrageous and if they haven't sold out already).

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Just called them and they have a handful of 500 round packs for 35 bucks and 325 round packs for 30. Not sure what kinds they are.

Oh, and this is HARDLY the "state college area".

Sorry for the bad location advice, I trusted Google maps and Yahoo maps. According to Yahoo it's about 21½ miles from State college. That's not really in the Pittsburgh area, nor Harrisburg, nor Philly, nor Allentown, not even Altoona or Johnstown, but the Google point shows up closer to State College than any other town that I figured would be commonly known by most others here.
Upon closer investigation, it appears to be closer to the Frogtown area.
Sorry for the confusion.

I just checked my trusty old AAA map from 1989 and it shows Warriors Mark to be where Rt 550 and Rt 350 meet, a little ways south west of State College, right about where Google Maps shows it to be.
(I had serious doubts about What I saw on the Internet, I've seen wrong maps there and I've heard too many stories of people getting bogus directions from their GPS, tht's why I went back to the old school, printed on paper map).
