.22 LR Is Also Scarce
#1
I've been combing some online sites and local shops looking for bulk .22LR. I can't believe there just isn't any to be had right now. Did people just buy anything they saw on the shelves whether they needed it or not? Crazy.

Has anyone discussed the possible correlation between the Government's recent purchase of 1 Billion rounds of ammo and the current scarcity? I would think that might have made a pretty big dent in stock available to retailers. Was the purchase part of the current gun control plan or just a lucky coincidence for the Feds?

I'm glad i stocked up with enough to last me a couple of months...

I got 7 bricks of 22 from Dick's before I knew the whole deal with them and pulling AR15's off the shelves. They had tons of 22lr bricks at both Dick's I went to (Montgomeryville and Willow Grove).

BTW this was about 2 weeks ago.

Was at Trop on Saturday and they had some bulk packs of Wolf and the 100rd packs of CCI Mini-Mags. I only grabbed 1 pack of the CCI to break in my new M&P22 as I have plenty of bulk at home and wanted to leave some for everyone else!

Well, I'm still confined to barracks with this new hip. If any of my friends on here come across any and want to grab a couple of bricks, I would appreciate it. I figure I'll be driving by 2/1 and I'm making up for lost time at the range. Thanks.

Beautiful, I wanted to go shoot my Ruger 22/45 and M&P 15-22 in the next few weeks. Fat chance of that happening eh? Confused

I will probably check out Gander Mountain in Dickson City next week, if they got one of those plastic ammo cans with 1700 rounds in it I will probably buy it.

What exactly are you looking for? High velocity, subsonic, round nose, hollow point, lead, plated, etc? Any particular brand? I might be able to help you out with my personal stash.

Gunbroker has plenty, but the cheapest is about 400.00 or so for 5000. Twice that of last year.
