.223 BLANKS - Any in Pittsburgh?
#1
I know this is a long shot since the membership here isn't huge yet, but I'm looking to get some .223 blanks by next Wednesday and I'm not sure I would get them in time if I order online.

Anyone know of someplace in Pittsburgh that may carry them?
Only need a box or two at the moment.

Want to show someone my golf ball launcher! I originally bought it for my Yugo SKS and have some 7.62 blanks, but I don't have the SKS any more.
The launcher works on the AR15 flash suppressor, but I don't have any .223 blanks! ACK!!!

I try to remember to ask around this weekend, I'll be hitting the stores in my area. New gun time, sucks I missed National Buy a Gun Day...

I only have .30-06(I think) blanks.

If you can't find any, use a puller and pull down some bullets, dump the powder back in and seal up the ends.

If you don't have a puller, any shop with reloading stuff should have them fairly cheap, then I'd grab a couple boxes of Wolf or something cheap.

I've used beeswax melted into a tray and then turn the tray upside down, pressing the cases in from the bottom to keep the powder in.
You only need about 1/8" or so of wax.

Heck, you could probably wad up Kleenex into little balls ad stuff them in.

If you're willing to travel to Butler, there's a store up there called Sportsman Supply. After visiting a bunch of stores around Pittsburgh, I've found them to have the best stock of whatever you're looking for.

I'd recommend a visit. I got a great deal while I was there (or so I think). I traded my Ruger LCP for a Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm and only paid $100. It was used, but it works like a dream. Plus, I was looking to trade in for a new carry and had my eye on the Shield for awhile.

Give them a call tomorrow. Hope you find what you need! Smile
The vast majority of gun owners don't kill, but people who do kill, tend to kill with guns, and often with illegal guns.

WOO-HOO! I found 12 rounds of .223 (blanks) stashed in my golf ball bag!

Crisis averted, but still want to get more to have on hand!

You know, if you had 78, I'd be interested, but...
