500 Pounds of Panic Purchases - Mags Ammo & MORE
#1
OK, I haven't weighed all of it, but I've been taking pics of all the Items I've had delivered since mid December 2012.

In no particular order, I'll post up pics of what I nabbed.
90% of the purchases were at "pre-panic" prices, a few items were purchased at a few dollars more (ex. $2-$5 more for a few mags), but none were purchased at inflated, full-blown, panic pricing.

I'll start with my favorite delivery first. 14 POUNDS of AK47 mags!

My favorite - the worst one of the used mags - looks like a battlefield pickup.

Ordered from Numrich Gun Parts on Jan 1, 2013.

6 - 30 rd E. German Unissued Blued - $19.65

6 - 30 rd E. German Used Blued - $15.40

6 - 40 rd Bulgarian polymer black - $14.95

On Jan 4th, the "new" mags increased in price to $34.95. The "used" went up to $24.95, and the 40 rd polymer mags went up to $29.95.
Timing has been everything lately.

Had I known the used ones would be this nice, I wouldn't have ordered any unissued mags, as the difference is minimal.
Most places "rate" their used mags to give you an idea what condition to expect - these were just listed as "used" with no description, and I didn't want to risk getting 12 crappy mags, so I got six of each.

The Bulgarian 40 rounders are nice. They aren't the "bullet mags". Nice and sturdy with steel reinforced lips. They fit well in the AK too.
I honestly planned on selling 3, or 4 of those when I ordered, but after getting them, I'm feeling greedy, and may just hang onto them.
Cool

There's no money left for ammo, so I'll bring 'em, you fill 'em! Tongue

This was the largest order. All others are six or less. I've lost count, but believe there were 4 other orders with AK mags included.

I'll have to post a group photo when they all get here.

Before I started buying I think I owned around 12 AK mags.

I don't have any of that in my "closet of awesome".

Alas, an AK is a horse that is not in my stable.

Haha!

Funny you posted that. ^

I can actually say that I've shot that very M16 to the extreme far right of the pizza boxes. It's F/A. Smile

(I assume you know who that is)

On a side note, the 14 lbs of mags is now paid for.
I just sold 5 PMAGs half an hour ago on GB.

Holy Shit! Why would anyone need that many mags other than to say you have them? I mean, don't get me wrong, that IS a good enough reason...LOL but seriously, if you had to bug out or even move to a different window during a stand off, you would never be able to load out 50 plus mags for your one rifle! I put most of my money into hardware and only stocked up on about 2-3 mags for each rifle. Sure, I'd like to have more but it just wasn't in the stars before the Great Panic Buy of 2013. Ideally, I'd like to have about 10 mags per gun considering that they are going to be banned soon.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
