Some 10mm ammo was going for that before the great panic. Especially the stuff loaded hot to the original pre FBI load numbers.

Damn that's outrageous. I figured only the hot JHP 10mm stuff was that bad pre-panic. The thing I always disliked about many 10mm loads is how wimpy the loads are, I wouldn't want to spend 10mm money and end up with expensive 40 S&W rounds.

That's why you get a 10mm and handload for it. You also get the .40 S&W barrel and springs so you can train with the factory ammo.

Indeed, that would be the best route to take. I was always concerned with hand-loading personally since it seems easy to do something wrong and pay for it with your firearm and health.

I have tried handloading. It was only 50rds of 9mm (49 really because I screwed up the first one) but as long as you are deliberate and don't skip steps, it's actually quite safe. Get yourself a copy of the ABCs of Handloading. Barnes & Noble usually has it. It'll show you every step in the process.

I always pass by a Barnes & Noble, this book might give me reason to go in and read something. It's something that is worth some research due to the rising price of ammo.

A bunch of them have Starbucks in them and they are ok for carry. Haven't had any issues OCing from the B&N staff either.

Oh, and you'll want to look in the Sports section.
