9mm SD ammo, which round?
#1
My 124 grain +p HSTs are a few years old, and I want to shoot them up and replace them. Long story short, which of the ammo below would you guys use?

1) Hornady Critical Duty 135+p = 1110 fps, 369 ft/lbs
2) Speer Gold Dots 124+p = 1220 fps, 410 ft/lbs
3) Doubletap 115+p = 1415 fps, 511 ft/lbs
4) Doubletap 147+p = 1125 fps, 410 ft/lbs
5) Buffalo Bore 115+p = 1300 fps, 431 ft/lbs
6) Buffalo Bore 124+p = 1225 fps, 413 ft/lbs
7) Grizzly 115+p = 1350 fps, n/a ft/lbs
8) Grizzly 147+p = 1120 fps, n/a ft/lbs

I run Speer Gold Dots.

Any particular reason you are moving away from HSTs?

Out of that list I'd go with the Gold Dots.

I use Gold Dots but I would be fine with any hollowpoint that reliably cycles my firearm.

Nope, they're great rounds too. I have been getting Gold Dots for my other firearms (.45 and .380), but that's only because Gold Dots have been easier to find than HSTs.

I watch the equipment exchange at arfcom for 40 HST. I've been able to built a several thousand round stash, cheaply, from there.

Sgammo.com had 124+p Gold Dots (50 pack) for $30. That's not too bad. I like the Buffalo Bore stuff, but I really can't justify its price.

I see the problem now. When I originally asked I had sgammo open and was looking at HST in stock. I'm not used to looking at 9mm and didn't bother to look for the +p.

What! No R.I.P. on that list? Don't you know that it cuts like a saw. Dodgy

Actually surprised Pow'R Ball isn't on that list.
