Not what your are thinking. Looking for some cost comparisons on the three.

Thank you. I had a guy asking me today about 45 vs 10mm. He wanted to get a 10mm as his first hand gun.

I think .45 is totally obsolete except for supressed weapons. I think 9mm is good, but is obsolete in comparison to the new wave of PDW calibers which are destined to replace it in a couple decades, and i think 10mm is a good wild game/trail defense cartridge with almost no real world defensive role that is not better filled by other calibers.

And i think .40 S&W is a stupid marketing gimmick.

Of the "legacy" calibers, i'd go 9mm or .357 Sig.

I don't even shoot my Glock-22 (.40) or Glock-30 (.45) any longer.

Other than my LCP, I've gone to 9mm for most SD and HD.

They are basically safe queens.

I would sell them, but who knows where gun control might eventually take us when Owebama is re-elected.

A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile

I told this guy to look at a 1911. Its more then adaqute. And for a few bucks more he can get a .22 conversion kit for it.

Every person I ever introduced to shooting and buying their first handgun, it has always been a 9mm. As a beginner, they can afford to shoot it more, the new SD rounds they have out now are very dependable, and it's easier to learn to shoot with in terms of learning to control recoil.

I have one .45 acp (Glock 30sf). If I buy another .45acp then it will be a 1911 and I will be done buying .45acp for awhile (even though the Springfield XDS is pretty sexy). I plan on purchasing only 9mms in the future.
