A little help, for Erie OC rally.
#21
I think the reason it is for that amount, is because not only is he representing the group to try and stop them before the rally, in the event that they give 200 of us fines, he will be providing legal counsel to all of us there.

I really understand where you are coming from on this. But just saying to get another lawyer isn't really helping. If it comes down to that, I am sure Justin will do that. A few days ago we had that discussion, on what would happen if no one really chose to donate.

Send just one person in then or 3 or something. If you were closer I'd go myself without any donations.

ok im going to rant again, so fair warning. Here we are on a gun forum talking about guns and all the infractions and oppression the goverment does to our rights. we all have our local area of "influence" that we are concerned about because lets face it...i cant go to philly and to send money to help them over there when i have a fight here isnt logical in my mind. Also i understand the premise that we are not free in this country unless we can afford the legal system. sorry but i am a realist. so i propose this...those who are comeing to the rally...PRE PAY 20 bucks for the legal defense team...your body will not mean as much as the 20 bucks when it comes to getting this preemption removed from the law books. we got 150 to show last rally...there is almost the entire $4000 justin needs for the "retainer". also i am tired of listening to the whinning...put up or shut up yall[/u]

QFT.

As rants go, this is one of the better ones I've read. Some good points and a good idea here as well. I have not contributed yet and I mean too in the next couple weeks, if we can. The Mrs and I have contributed to causes and friends in the last 30 days and we need a couple weeks to catch ourselves up.

Additionally, we are attending the rally/march in Philly this weekend along with dozens of other members here, under the threat of prosecution identical to your own in Erie. We won't know the outcome of that until we are walking away and headed home.

It's not just Erie in this battle. Cool

This right here, is right from Justin.

"also on pa2a you need it to make a point that I have shoped around and if I did not use josh it would still cost me 2500 and I don't even have close to that yet. the reason josh is that much is he is far from me 6 hours.."

As for what I replied to. There will be no one turned away, if anyone can donate, that is great. If not, that is also fine. Chrisjp is upset, understandably because of the lack of support from the many people who are attending. Take no offense from it though.

no...those who have contributed are appreciated...no matter how much they contributed, the point is...we ALL waste spend on one thing or another..that cup of coffee on the way to work, that cheesburger, renting that movie for the night...what it really comes down to is that (yes even for me) if you havent contributed yet...its because IT ISNT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO YOU YET.

Or that some of us are behind on several bills. And can't afford that cheeseburger, movie rental, or coffee.

Ive done my fair share of donating. If you have people showing up that do not want to pay for their own counsel well sow/reap.
