Accidental Discharge Update
#1
Just posted a video concerning the cause of the accidental discharge of my firearm back in June. WARNING: It's a long video, and I'm sorry for that.

Hey BigDawg Beav,

Glad you're getting better.

It looks like you will never know the cause for sure. That has got to be frustrating.

All you can do is get back in the saddle and proceed with caution and good safety! Good luck. Keep that finger up along the slide until you're sites are on target. Smile

I do have to say, I practice not looking when re-holstering. Maybe some of you will disagree, but in a SD situation I think taking your eyes off the situation could be fatal. Even after scanning the area, taking your time to re-holster is fine, and can be done slowly and safely without visual confirmation. I use my thumb to verify the holster is clear and to determine the position before sliding it back in.

Are you going to be competing again soon?

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.

Shot a steel match a couple weeks ago with my 15-22. Since the XDM is back where it belongs, I'll be out at Ontelaunee on Sunday for IDPA.
