Actually PAID for a Glock.
#1
So a while back, I traded a Taurus that I had for a Glock 26. Didn't care either way, but my friend liked the manual safety on the Taurus and he shot it better. So I did the right thing and traded. Didn't cost me anything except the fees. (For everyone who's counting, that's my 5th act of human decency this century. Dodgy)

Fast forward to today. I have been given an opportunity to take another instructor-level course, this fall. I never really liked the look of the Glock, but understand the simplicity and function. So I decided to grab a Glock 17. I can beat that monster up instead of my Sig. The price is right and the gear options are abundant.

I've shot the G26 enough and like it. Anything I should know about how the G17 Gen 4?

The only experience I've ever had with a Glock was a model 30SF so i won't be of much help. This was my first carry piece. I won't go into the usual complaints.

The 17 or the 21 would be the ones I would ever go with if I ever bought another Glock though.

You can always tell yourself that the Glock 17 is an iconic firearm, as iconic as the Colt .45 "Peacemaker" and that every firearm collector ought to own at least one example.

I like the 17 and 19 more than the 26, which seems to feel fatter in the hand then it's two bigger siblings. The 17 seems to take less time to get on target, probably due to the extra weight on the front end. I've never carried one, though. I did carry a Glock 19 for a little bit. It was okay, bit I just wasn't feeling it, so I sold it.

Picked the gun up today. Pretty happy with it. I really like the beavertail that Glock sends with it. And the superfluous amount of mags. As well as the fact that I got soaked at the range and could care less.
