Advice on a .45
#1
Looking for .45 handgun. Easy to carry and
it does not have to be 1911 style.
I have a Sig 1911/45 Its a fine hand gun- just a bit big.
What is your recommendation??

~Thanks~

What is the minimum amount of rounds you would like for your firearm to carry?

I have a Kimber Pro Carry II and a Springfield 1911 Champion, both are commander sized 1911s and both are very carry-able. I also have a Springfield XD 45 Compact that is very easy to carry. The difference being that the XD is striker fired and has 10 & 13 round magazines that come with it.

Check out the new Ruger SR45 (10+1), Kahr CW45 (6+1), Smith and Wesson M&P45c (8+1), and Springfield XDS (5+1).

Single stack - double stack -- If it feels good in
my hand it wouldn't really matter to me 7 -8 would be fine.
More would be ok also.

Don't know what you want to spend, but STI makes some quality stuff single and double stack. Made in Texas. http://www.stiguns.com/products/guns/pistols/

If you have big hands a Glock-30 is good.
A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile
