Affordable 1911 Worth Checking Out
#1
I picked up one of these from Bud's Gun Shop. As of 11:53am on 13 January 2013, it has 32 reviews and all of them give it 5 out of 5 stars. I'm shooting mine this Wednesday, but as far as quality goes, it far exceeded my expectations. When I went to my LGS to pick it up, the gun shop employee laughed at the name brand, but once he opened up the box was VERY impressed. So far, Bud's has sold over 900 of them.

I've been on the fence with this for a few days now. Please post a range report after you take it out.

Will do. I'm hitting the range Wednesday. I have 170 rounds of FMJ, and I'll probably dump 8 rounds of 200 grain +p Federal EFMJs down range too.

One of my "biggies" with 1911's are a few hundred rounds of 230 grain gold dot hollow points. If the gun can spit them out without a hiccup its a keeper!

If I can find a 50-round pack of Federal 230 grain +p HSTs, then I'll probably run a mag or 2 through it (that way I will still have some HPs left 4 mags). The 20 round boxes of almost any .45acp self defense round costs too much for testing, well at least for me during this "2A crisis".

I never had an issue with 230 Federal. For some reason its always the gold dot that risks being an issue.

Use Winch. PDX1 Def. 230. Functions correctly, even though the throat on my Colt barrel has never been properly throated.

This affordable 1911, wonder how many MIM parts are part of the gun.
I'm only here for the 'Foxes with Firearms' thread.

If they had it in a different finish, and offered it in 9mm. I would pick one up.

Been looking for a good 9mm 1911 for a short time now. Something to use at the range. For that price, you really can't go wrong.

Looks like Tisas offers several different versions! I really like the Stainless Steel full size! Where can I get one?

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I think one of these will become my second 1911. My understanding is Turkey produces some very fine weapons and has one of the most advanced production factories in the world.
