Well, I made a list of bills and links for the national level, now it's time to start paying closer attention to the statewide bills here. As some of you are aware the Pennsylvania AWB bills have been officially introduced and they join a few other anti-gun bills already in the works.

I'm getting that twitch again. The twitch that tells me it is time for more emails, letters, faxes, an phone calls.
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin

No doubt.

In wish the pa website was as easy to navigate as the national one. It's a lot harder to keep track of these bills and search for new ones. The easiest way I've found was searching for keywords. Dodgy

Maybe when the site isn't getting bombed I'll be able to see who the sponsors are and be able to make a SWAG as to whether or not any of this will see the light of day. My first thought though is that they'll never make it out of committee.

Here's another from jerk-off Waters: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/bill...e=b&bn=521

H.B. 521 is the liability insurance bill from last year, reintroduced. If you get stopped and can't produce an insurance card, the cops can take your gun.

1st offense is a $1000 fine. 4th offense is $15,000 and a 2nd degree misdemeanor.

No insurance... no LTCF.

Thanks for the heads up. I can use all the help I can get, that site is so hard to navigate. I'm in the process of tweaking the original post and have already added 3 other bills plus the one you found.

Thanks again!

I know GOA has an ok set-up to respond to representatives with pre-written letters. Is there any site that does it for the PA state stuff like mentioned here? I am sure I could write up something that doesn't sound too bad but if I don't have to reinvent the wheel it always helps.

You are missing SB73 which would outlaw guns on school property (without exception) and public recreation center or park

Quote:A person commits a [misdemeanor] felony of the [first] third degree if he possesses a weapon in the buildings of, on the grounds of, or in any conveyance providing transportation to or from any elementary or secondary publicly-funded educational institution, any elementary or secondary private school licensed by the Department of Education, any public recreation center, park or playground or any elementary or secondary parochial school.

And speaking of which, there's an easier way to follow them, updated daily:
