Alien Gear IWB Holster?

I got one of those magnetic holsters for my p238 and I wore it last night. Works good but won't protect against sweat in the long run.

I'll have to think about trying one of these. Although not sure for which gun....my p238 or LC9, or one of my hubby's larger guns.

The missus has one of the original leather cloak tucks for her p238. She loves using it but for her it doesn't fit into every outfit. You pretty much are limited to pants that can use a belt so jeans, dress pants and heavy leggings with belt loops etc. It's held up great otherwise over a year of use now.

Just FYI.

She might like one of these for the other outfits.... http://thewellarmedwoman.com/magnetic-wa...ndard-cant

You have to manually mold it to your gun for better fit, but the magnet actually works pretty well. I wore it last night with a skirt and a regular "girl belt". I also like Smartcarry for skirts.

I forgot to mention that if you want to wear it IWB you have to buy it opposite-handed.

I love my Crossbreed, but like you guys, a co-worker couldn't stand his either.

I soaked mine in water til it was waterlogged and then wrapped it around a large metal coffee can til it dried (used black tape).
Then I mink oiled it and it contoured to me in about a week of daily wear.
Now it's the only holster I use with my G19 or 26.

If the leather is digging in somewhere, just trim it.

I looked into the crossbreeds extensively but the one thing I keep hearing is complaints about the belt clips and how they don't hook on very well. Is there any merit to this?

What's it like carrying a full size pistol IWB though? I think my biggest gripe with OWB carry is the way it hangs off and pulls my jeans down. I am using a high quality 1.5" leather belt too but maybe it's the styles of OWB holsters I've been using that don't distribute the weight properly. (Serpa mainly) Now, the paddle styles seem to stay put a little better but my thinking is a nice wide piece of leather worn IWB will sit still a little better.

I had a Crossbreed mini tuck with only one clip and it did NOT stay in place well. Granted, at times I wore it with a belted skirt, but a clip should be able to hold it in place on a good belt even on a skirt.

I have never had a problem with my clips, as a matter of fact until I figured it out, it was quite the hassle for me to take the thing off.
I carry a G26 or G19 in mine, so I can't say what a full size gun like a G17 or H&K USP would be like.
I still have to hike up my pants occasionally, but I don't have my belt pulled super tight either. I attribute this to my current weight.
I'm not going to say it's a pleasant thing to have that holster and gun tucked in behind my belt, but it's totally bearable and not uncomfortable, but it is something you'll need to get used to.
One day with this setup is not going to do it, give it a couple weeks.
I think this is where people get disgusted, one or two days and they toss it in a drawer.
I had to adjust mine multiple times before I found the position that was just right.

That said, I despise it when an OWB holster sags, this is why I generally avoid them, the kydex paddles seem to work OK, but they dig into me so again, I personally avoid them.

I have yet to find a holster that I can comfortably carry something like my G21, so I usually go with the G26 in the Crossbreed.
I am thinking of trying a SOB type for when I'm out shopping with the kids, but I'm thinking it will be a bear to try to drive with.

To compound this all, as soon as I get the class in this spring I'll be a Deputy Constable so now I get to start the search for a proper OWB setup.
I think I'm going to go with an inner and outer belt set-up like I used to wear when I did USPSA matches.
Probably going to try a Galco with the G21 and hope it doesn't sag, if so then it's another holster and the SIG 229.

When I get home later I'll post a pic of how my Crossbreed looks now after a year or so of use.

I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but this is a common problem for women in my limited experience.
One of my ex-GF's simply couldn't carry IWB, she was built like a 40's pin up model, all hips.
She ended up getting a holster designed for a woman, I can't recall the brand, and she could tolerate it, but she still didn't like it. I ended up buying her a CC purse just so she would carry daily like she wanted to do.

A friend that is a cop has to carry a backup, she eventually went with an LCP in an ankle holster because nothing would fit her as far as IWB.

A womans build does not mix well with a holster designed for a man by a man.

I use Old Faithful holsters and I've been very happy with them.
