An Anti Gun Store - Miller's Gun Center in Delaware
#1
It's no secret that elements of the federal government and the various state governments are trying to enact various bans in the wake of recent tragedies.

In Delaware, legislators have drafted House Bill 35 which would require background checks for private sales.

The NRA-ILA, and the Delaware State Sportsman Association, have publicly condemned the legislation.

However, Delaware's oldest standing FFL dealer, "Millers Gun Center, Inc.", on Route 13 in New Castle County, has broken ranks with the Delaware firearms community and testified on behalf of the bill.

For many members of Delaware Open Carry this was the last straw. As you can see this is not the first time Miller's has testified against the Delaware firearms community, in their letter they proudly proclaim to have testified in favor of the 1991 Delaware State background check legislation. Delaware's state background check was fazed out last year, presently the federal check alone is required in Delaware.

I have decided that I will no longer patronize them.

Millers know they will make a huge profit if background checks go throug them.

Even still, I would hope to see them now become the biggest gun shop in deleware to go bankrupt due to boycotts by gun owners and REAL 2a supporters.

When Cabelas gets it self up and running I'll bet they go under, unless they drop their prices. Last time I was in there prices were pretty salty.

I'm definitely looking forward to Cabela's arrival.

May sound extreme EM, but the carry license in the State of Delaware is called a deadly concealed weapons license.

Quote:~snip~

Pursuant to 11 Del.C. ' 1441(j), as of July 11, 2003, Delaware law allows residents of other states who have been issued a concealed deadly weapon license or permit by certain other states to lawfully carry concealed deadly weapons in Delaware if the state that issued the permit or license also recognizes Delaware's concealed deadly weapons licenses, and if Delaware's Attorney General also determines that the concealed deadly weapons licensing or permit laws in the issuing state "afford a reasonably similar degree of protection as is provided by licensure in Delaware." The Attorney General has determined that only states that require proof of training in firearms safety as a part of their licensing or permit process can meet this requirement.

Funny thing is, everybody says that guy hates to do transfers! These guys have a terrible reputation of being rude and giving the "you're wasting my time" attitude.
Small gun shops depend on customer service to compete with the big guys, and I don't understand how he thinks he'll stay in business after Cabela's opens next year. Especially when it'll be less than 5mi away.
My guns have killed less people than Obama's ATF has.
