An Arizona police department released video Tuesday showing a police officer using a car to ram an armed suspect in February.

The video shows a Marana Police Department cruiser slamming into Mario Valencia, who was allegedly armed with a stolen gun and fired a shot in the air on Feb. 19.

The dash cam records a gunshot as the suspect is walking on West Coca Cola Place, and an officer warning, "stand off, stand off, the gun is loaded."

A different police car driven by Officer Michael Rapiejko then roars forward and strikes Valencia sending the man flying into the air. [quote] http://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts...ws-n341636

That car looked like it was moving at pretty good rate of speed. How fast you think he was going when he hit that thug?

This is slightly off this specific topic...but for every video of a police acting "violently", there should be a video of a police being threatened. I'm sure they are out there. I know a DC cop who was shot at execution style but the shot missed so it never made the news. I imagine it happens a lot.

I realize cops need to do the right thing, always....but with all the adrenaline that pumps and, likely, all the threats a cop receives...people are foolhardy to test his reflexes.

I always thought back-up was just that,This guy IMO is what's called a ya-ho. This cop came to the conclusion of, fuck this shit let get this over with.. no regards to personal property, lets just end it know!

I can understand BUT, how much money did he cost the tax payers ?

Their is consistency in what he did though. he did bring the event to a final conclusion, And their in lies the problem. some times the circumstances call for some finesse and patience..IMO of coarse..

Uh... The last thing on my mind is saving taxpayer money when dealing with an armed suspect.
