And another OC'er picked up by PPD
#1
One of my friends just got picked up by PPD for OC in my neighborhood.

Don't know more than that right now... I'm sure it will all come out later. My attorney is also his lawyer so that's about all I can say for now.

AFAIK, the encounter was not videotaped.

Even better... was with him last weekend while all 3 of us were at the range and he was just an OC virgin. Sucks when his first encounter is not only negative, but it's PPD.

If the DA's office proceeds with it I'll find the case in Common Pleas so we can keep track of it.

Can you at least answer one question? Does he have his LTCF? If the answer is yes, then I can deeply concerned for your friend and very interested in this incident. If the answer is no, then he deserves to get picked up for OCing because he broke the law.

We share a lawyer (it's actually 4 of us, there's 2 lawyers) and we're all friends and neighbors and we did have a thing planned for next weekend and it may be canceled so my lawyer did let me know but only for that reason and can't relay anything beyond it.

It's up to my bud who was picked up whether he can relay anything more substantial. I do not know what occurred on scene and I'm not going to hazard a guess. I do know he's got a good civil lawyer and a criminal def. lawyer available to him and both are gun owners and LTCF.

I will encourage him to come and sign up here. I think he's on PAFOA but not here. Next time I run into him I'll invite him to clear his story through his attorney and see if he wants to share it.

Ok I just got an email alert from PhillyRapSheet.com:

Philadelphia, PA | Bail: $25000
Poss Instrument Of Crime W/Int
Terroristic Threats W/ Int To Terrorize
Simple Assault
Recklessly Endangering Another Person

Bail is posted. The primary charge is listed first. In a drug dealer's case for example, Poss Of Inst of Crime is way down at the bottom of the charges. It's tacked on when a gun is ever found. So they're starting this case right off the bat with P.A.C.s. 18 § 907 which is the bullshit charge.

The other 3 is crap they always tack on to just about everything so we'll see how this plays out.
