I feel the same about all religious nut jobs, yes.

Stossel is the man, he should seriously run for president.

And to address what Coulter was saying about "sucking up to liberals" and "there are bigger issues than smoking pot and gay marriage," she obviously missed the point that the discussion was about the difference between libertarians and conservatives. It's not that those are the most important issues to libertarians, it's that those are the issues that separate libertarians from conservatives.

Individual rights and liberties are the most important issues to libertarians.

Her main point was, I believe, that the house is burning to the ground, yours puppy is stuck on the third floor and all they keep yapping about is legalize drugs. If there are 100 important issues out there, drugs would be about 80 yet they spend sooooo much time on it. And it really does seem to be one of the most important issues to libertarians because I hear it all of the time and even the questions asked were about it.

and conservatives don't argue some of the dumbest positions in the world like the state defining marriage between a man and a woman?

at least with libertarians, whether they're talking about drugs or not, they're talking about advancing liberty, not reducing it.

Hop scotch. I'll play. Yes. If Muslims come here and try to force laws on us that restrict our rights, I'd tell them they were just as wrong as all the Democrats that want to force us to give up our guns and the republicans that want to tell us who we can sleep with, marry, what I can put into or do with my body, or that I have to worship their "God"

Nonsense..

Complete nonsense

I hear libertarians talk far more about the deficit and run away government spending than any one group and far more than legalizing drugs, which would save us and make us a shit ton of cash too.

She annoys the hell out of me, but, she's right. Glenn Beck made similar statements on his radio show this morning, for anyone interested on a Conservative view of Libertarians. Notice, I said Libertarians and not Libertarianism. There is this phenomenon of what I would describe as "establishment" libertarianisms who fervently exclude anyone else from being libertarian on the grounds that they're somehow morally or intellectually inferior because they don't agree on everything. Libertarianism most definitely doesn't exclude one from being biggoted about their views. We see that demonstrated on this forum every day.

Well, the video in the OP gives evidence that while it may be nonsense it sure is not complete nonsense. Tongue
