Ann Coulter Battles Stossel, Calls Libertarians ‘Pussies,’ And Gets Booed

The founders were the original libertarians. The very idea exists because they brought it to life. They didn't agree on everything, they didn't agree on what should or shouldn't be legislated. The Bill of Rights itself is testament of that. The one thing they did get right though was unity despite differences and disagreements. They united, as one disagreeable people, against a common enemy. It doesn't how libertarian you may be, if you can't play nice with others you mind as well be a progressive.

no, I'm defending what libertarians believe in rather than allowing Dave to put the notion into people's mind that the stuff we defend are 'small' items when they're not.

I'm waiting for Dave to reply with:

How long the drug was has been fought

How much money we spend on increasing the prison population due to the drug war

How much the police force has been militarized to enforce the drug war

How many innocent people have been killed from this war on drugs by LEO

How many people cannot find decent jobs because their life was ruined because some drug crusader thought their victimless crime was sufficient enough for them to sit in a cage

How much liberty we've lost from the war on drugs

How much money, overall, this war has cost us all

but hey, we just defend 'small things'. Big Grin

You're defending what you believe, not what it means to be libertarian. Libertarianism isn't an exclusive clique, it's a philosophy. It's an idealogy. I believe libertarianism requires as much inclusion and tolerance as it does freedom in order to succeed. You're starting to sound like the tolerant left. Leaving each-other alone also applies to those who you disagree with.

That's funny because I think BOTH the D and R platforms call for a balanced budget. The only thing missing from all three is their plan on how unicorn power can make us energy independent. Tongue

There you have it. Establishment Libertarianism and exclusiveness. You're defending what you believe. You can't seem to get passed the idea that those are your own personal beliefs. You subscribe to the idea of a Libertarianism litmus test.

what makes one a libertarian? I'm dying to hear this from you.

I'd suggest the NAP.

I'll let one of my idols, the great Murray Rothbard, extol libertarianism: https://mises.org/daily/2993
