I bought one to have in case I take a class that doesn't allow SERPA's, and I'm a little disappointed with it. I feel like I'm not getting a good firing grip before drawing the gun. It's not an intuitive motion, since you have to be pushing down on the button as you're pulling up on the gun. If you start to pull up on the gun before you push the button far enough, then the button gets difficult to push. I haven't used it much, so maybe it would get better with practice.

Also, the thumb drive takes up a good amount of space, so the holster holds the gun at least 1/2" further away from the body than the SERPA. I wear the SERPA CC sometimes under a jacket, but I wouldn't do the same with the Thumb Drive.

I might give the Safariland ALS a try.

I got this and love it. I find the draw to be quick and intuitive? Half the price around 34 bucks. I use it everyday. I don't know what else to say. It will either be natural for you or I guess it may feel odd. I don't find myself doing anything ”extra” to draw. Just grab the gun and draw. The thumb rides past the release mechanism freeing the firearm. Maybe the design is a little different? Idk.. I have heard Galco hasn't covered many models yet. Check it out.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out. Looks like the Galco holds the gun much closer to the body than the Thumb Drive.

I like that Galco holster a lot more than the 5.11 thumbdrive. The M6X is the belt attachment version of the M4X, but there is not specific model for the Glock 19 (the closest one is for the Glock 17). For the price though, the M4X is definitely worth considering, especially with the "auto locking thumb button" feature. Thanks for the heads up!
