Anyone use waste oil?
#1
I used to power my 1999 F250 Diesel 7.3 Powerstroke with used motor oil that I would collect.

I'm just wondering if anyone uses it around their house or in their vehicles. . . .

Not me but the "Garage" one of my buddies works at, heats the place all winter with the stuff.

The garage that works on our vehicles uses scrap engine oil to heat the place.

When I lived in San Francisco and worked on historic ships, our Liberty Ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien ran on junk oil donated by the citizens and poured into 50-gallon drums dockside.

She went all the way to Normandy for the 50th anniversary of D-Day.

i had a 1995 chevy suburban with a 6.5 turbo diesel that ran on waste vegetable oil. i had to filter it and the suburban had a separate fuel tank and heated fuel lines for the veggie oil but it ran just fine

Anyone know what I can do with 5 gallons of sludge that was taken from the bottom of an old heating oil tank? I assume it wouldn't be a good idea to make fire starters for my wood stove, but I'm open to other possibilities.
