You all do realize, that if you didn't not vote Obama you are who CNN is lumping together under this banner?

And I do not see the GOP as dead, but I will see them shifting to give out more free shit to attract those who vote democrat.

That being said, the true death is now the libertarian movement, unless they want to begin entitlements to get votes too....

Huh? Huh

Anyway, if the likes of Marco Rubio are the future of the GOP, and the GOP thinks it should be MORE conservative, then..., I don't know what to say.

Nice knowing it?

Right, thanks, Tea Party is dead. So why the infatuation?

Also, Tea Party is NOT GOP. Many of us are in fact independent.

But keep shoveling the story.

If they were less conservative, they would be democrats.

I think the paradigm has shifted quite a bit in the last 15 years..., but I'm not going to get into it because..., well, it's Thanksgiving eve and I don't really feel like it.

I'll just say, the next 4 years are going to be interesting, to say the least.

Attitudes on social issues have changed, there is no question. But if you made social issues irrelevant, then we are at nothing but entitlements, and the democrats vs republicans are reduced down to having a child pick which parent to live with during a divorce...the one who makes them to to bed early, limits their tv time, and makes them do homework and chores so they can be a responsible person when they grow up, or the other parent who lets their boyfriend or girlfriend sleep over, play Xbox as much as they want, and promises them a go-kart if they live there.

Libertarians in this scenario are the aunt or uncle who will have them cook their own food, do their own laundry, pay rent, and divide up the portion of the bills...but will let them smoke pot like the permissive parent.

I'll pick the libertarian.

I'll pick the libertarian.

So would I, but I'm an adult and not a child.

It's an overly simplistic example, but hopefully makes the point.
