AWB to be re-introduced by Shmuck in Chief

"I also share your belief that weapons that were designed for soldiers in war theaters don't belong on our streets. And so what I'm trying to do is to get a broader conversation about how do we reduce the violence generally. Part of it is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced. But part of it is also looking at other sources of the violence. Because frankly, in my home town of Chicago, there's an awful lot of violence and they're not using AK-47s. They're using cheap hand guns."

One of the many articles where The Ochurian Candidate stated a desire to bring back the assault weapons ban. Note that no legislation was brought forth by the President in the last four years. Because he cares about votes more than those affected by "assault weapons". Considering that hundreds of Mexicans are dead from guns and heavy ordinance this President's regime gifted to the south of the border narco-terrorists, the very idea of him putting forth a ban for law abiding Americans is completely and utterly hypocritical.

code word: Uhhhhh dey gotta go too.

What they are using is the Catch and release, revolving door justice system. Is it not obvious that, when caught, the vast majority of these perps should have been permanently jailed long ago ??

I expect hand guns to be on the AWB list this next time.

If Obama has his way, you'll need a license to buy BBs like you do in NJ.

My firearms have killed fewer people than the Presidential Motorcade.

Obama can say he wants to introduce anything he damn well pleases but the president can't introduce anything to congress. Only congress can introduce bills to be voted on.

Do you think that the imbeciles in the Senate won't? We already know that Carolyn McCarthy has reintroduced her bill in the house. If the D's ever get full control of both houses and O is in office it will be one of the first laws passed.Angry Bet large amounts of money on it.

I couldn't believe my ears when it came up last night... I agree that it would most likely not pass, I also agree that they will go after handguns, at least in mag capacity (think NJ, but nationwide).

Every study I have read says that Gun Control is basically political suicide, so why bring it up? Is there a chance he can get the dumber soccer moms' (not meaning soccer moms are dumb, just saying the dumb few) vote based of false safety? I really hope the NRA, and Similar organizations will start running Massive education ads, only a few weeks left, now is the time to spend the money based on need.

I have caught a lot of flack for my views, people call "assault weapons" excessive and not needed. So my basic counter argument is "I have always wondered why cars are not electronically limited to a reasonable speed, lets call it 80 MPH. There is no reason everyone needs to own a car that will do over 100 MPH, and a lot of people are killed each year in accidents caused by excessive speeding". Its just like Bloomberg and his Large Soda Ban, where does the nanny state end????

They've been introducing AWBs repeatedly since the first one ended in '04. None have gone very far. Voting for one now would be political suicide. It was in '94 when they passed the first one and public opinion was in their favor. Public opinion has swung the other way and with more people than every paying attention to any attempt at gun control, how long do you think it would take before people in congress would be losing their jobs?

They get enough sycophants in there and it won't matter to them. They'll see getting kicked out of office as something that was necessary for the greater good. Remember, most of these people are mentally ill when it comes to firearms.
