Best Camo for our area?
#1
Was wondering what you guys thought would be the best camo for this area? Is there a certain type of camo that would work best in the woods of PA.

If I'm headed to the WalMart in East Stroudsburg, the best camo is a sideways hat, pants down to my ass, one pant-leg rolled up and the smell of a grape cigar on my breath! That way I blend to my surroundings.

Would work for Wal-Mart, but not really good for the woods around my house. But then, if I get into the city...

With the exception of the dead of PA winter, I like CADPAT (used by Canadian forces) a lot!

Are you thinking camo for deer hunting? Or to keep out of sight from two legged critters?

Woodland camo or Realtree AP for everything but winter. Vertigo camo for winter:

Two legged. But then, if it works for deer, it should work for both.

Realtreee does work really well for this area. Probably a pretty good choice.

Except that deer are colorblind, so what works for them might not work for people.

ASAT camo works well in the fall over here. Blends in well with bare trees and dead foliage.

I have also used flektarn in the fall, works amazingly well against leaves and ground cover.

For greener seasons, predator camo in spring green seems to work well around here.

Now, these are my opinions, of patterns that I have used and seen used. Different areas, plant life, and other factors play a big role as well.

In my area in SEPA, bright orange is the best kind of camo. I'm less concerned about the domesticated suburban deer seeing me and more worried about the 2-legged animals not seeing me....
