Best Place to get Military MRE's at a good price?
#1
I'm thinking about getting a case or two of Military MRE's so my family of 4 has at least 3 days of emergency food. Where is the best place to buy? So far I found them for $70 per case local. Ebay has them for $50 plus shipping (anywhere from $20 to $40 for shipping)

Any ideas?

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

A ton of places have them but I would stick with the bigger ones such as Ready Store, MRE Depot, even Amazon so there is a better chance of newer production. May also consider getting just the Main Meals alone which would be cheaper and take up less space.

If its for home I would also consider MH instead / too.

3 Days is not very long so you should have way more than that just with everyday can / dry goods.

I am going to build up a better supply but I want to start with an ALICE pack with 12 MRE's and some other emergency supplies that we can take to camp or emergency bug out/evacuation. My strategy is to bug in so most of my supplies are secured at home. I just want to have a plan B available!

oh ok. Smart. In that case just Main Meals with heaters make even more sense along with whatever else you are going to pack. Freezer bags with Nuts & Stuff is great especially for packing in a pack. In case you don't already know look up MRE storage and heat in case you plan on storing in a hot place such as garage or car.

May I suggest if this is for a bug out bad going with dehydrated items, they are much lighter to carry. I have a family of 5 and we all have our 72 hr bags. MRE's are great especially if you are staying put. I just wanted to mention that if the purpsose was to be mobile 3 cases may be alot.

I have food stored in 2 locations, about an hour apart with the 72 hr bags to get me from pt A to pt B if needed.

Peace Until, ItsTime
