Biker fight in Texas

Interesting, in that I haven't seen a patched 1% biker, in years. Then I saw a Pagan, riding with his colors, in downtown Newark, DE a few days ago. It started a conversation, with my wife, as to what ever happened to the local gangs. Then this...

Some are trying to either tie to, or distance from (depending on which side of the issue you're on) gun violence.

There's a group of pagans that live down there in Pequea.

I occasionally see Pagans and Warlocks around here, but it is not very often at all. When I see them it's usually on the highway. Last year I saw a Pagan at the Sheetz in Gettysburg off of I-83.

Seems like I used to see them all of the time, when I was a kid, growing up around Newark. Like the KKK, in Rising Sun, MD, I thought they had gone away, or covert. I still see tons of bikers, but not 1%ers.

I've gone through Pequea several times, stopped in at the Tree Frog, even. Bikes parked outside, but no display of colors, let alone 1%. I'm not saying they don't exist, just not as prevalent as they once were. Now that we have more returning veterans, I'm wondering (only out of pure curiosity) whether or not their numbers will increase.

Some articles on the Texas issue claiming ALL bikers..., others "guns" were somehow to blame (or so the slant made it seem).

As with any gang violence, if they take each other out and harm no one else, let the blood flow.

I also forgot to add Philadelphia has The Wheels of Soul. I see them frequently on 95 and the inner city. They are based out of west philly. From what I hear they have cops and corrections officers within their membership.

So several gangs show up at a local Hooters knock off, and trouble ensues. Now, I know it's early and not much in the way of facts has been passed on to the media, but I heard police were firing on the bikers. Now, if recent events were to used as an example, should we all be out burning down our neighborhood to protest this police shooting of "innocent bikers"? I mean, just because they were threatening cops and beating each other to death doesn't give police a right to get all violent, right?

I mean, I'm sure all these fine young men were all getting their lives together. Perhaps we could dig up some baby photos of when they got their first Powerwheels. Maybe we could get someone to give the old "We are outraged" line in Sharptonesque fashion. Who would be a good spokesman... Lorenzo Llamas? Didn't he have a biker show? How about Eric Estrada?

More importantly, where are all the Wacos going to get their meth, now that all the bikers are going to the pokey?

I think the biggest difference is geographical location. Given it was WACO, the locals were already keyed up, like they were over "that strange religious cult that lives down there in that funny compound..." I'm surprised that the new Janet Reno didn't show up in a napalm spewing AMRAP.
Also, given the latest at the Muslim cartoon expo, those boys were already locked and loaded, calling their own targets ahead of time, hence no "civilians" were injured, as one news agency reported. I guess those patches qualify as "uniforms of enemy combatants"?
But seriously, in Baltimore they would have been given more time to address those issues, regarding their childhood, as outlined above.
