I don't know, but you made me go back and check my spelling. It is definitely BLOCK. The name came from days gone by when the targets were blocks of wood with an X on them were thrown into the air. We've modified it through the years and now we are shooting at white paper cards with an X on them. The cards are stationary for the shot. (No pun intended, but remember; No matter how far or hard you push the envelope, it's still stationary).

I'm getting concerned about you Streaker, if anything can be taken the wrong way, you seem to be the one who can take it the wrong way.

Why don't you come out to our shoot and see what it's all about? You aren't too far away, and the Eagle Arms Lebanon gun show is this weekend. That's just a little bit south of town and out shoot is a few miles north of town. The GPS address is 2222 Kenbrook Road, Lebanon, Pa. 17046.
From the gun show, take Rocherty Road east to Lincoln Ave. or west to Rt 72. Go north into Lebanon and find 12th St. (It's between Rt 72 and Lincoln Ave, Closer to Rt 72. Rt 72 North is Ninth St.. Take Ninth north to Maple St. then turn left, (east), on Maple to 12th St. Turn right, (north), on 12th St. Go about 2ΒΌ miles to Quarry Road. (N. 12th St changes names a few times, from Jonestown Road to Sandhill Road, then back to Jonestown Road and finally to Grace Ave. so if you see street names other than N 12th St. don't worry, it's all good). When you see Quarry Road, turn RIGHT, go about a mile and a half then turn right on Kenbrook Road. From there it's not even a quarter of a mile, we're the second driveway on the left.
Don't spend all of your money at the gun show, save a little bit to compete for one or more of our great prizes. (Meat trays, typically choice cuts of beef, mostly tender steaks, Bacon trays, as in 5 pounds of bacon, pork loins and of course CASH). Yes we do have a current and valid small games of chance license so we are completely legal with all of our activities. We do sell tickets for some of the same prizes so if your luck with shooting isn't netting you any protien you still have a chance to win some good take home meat.
P.S. (If you do decide to pay us a visit, we'd be honored to have a rock for our wall from Lancaster County, especially if it was picked from a field plowed by the Amish, with horses).

I don't think you're required to use your own gun. I'm sure someone would be willing to let you use theirs.

No problem, we shoot paper cards now, the blocks were the targets of choice in years gone by. And for what it's worth, the blocks were white.

Correct my friend, I will have at least one shotgun that I'm willing to share. There is one fellow who has used one particular gun of mine and has already asked me if I will have it with me and be willing to let him use again at this shoot. It's an Iver Johnson 30 inch barrel, full choke single shot. I also have a High Standard, 20 inch barrel riot gun. It has as much of a chance of winning as any other gun. I may take another 12 ga. gun with me this time, it depends on a few things, but regardless of how many guns I have with me, I'm always willing to let someone borrow them for the shoot if they want to. There are others who will let people borrow their shotguns too, there have been occasions when someone wanted a different choke tube and someone let them borrow his Remington Full choke tube.
Overall, we're a pretty friendly bunch of people.

Well, sometimes you've got to play the cards you're dealt. Just this evening I was surprised by an oil sludge coating on the passenger side engine compartment of my Excursion starting from the cap on the radiator fill tank. Looks like I've got a problem with the engine oil cooler and I can't make the trip on Sunday. I really wanted to come but I can't this time. Sad

Sonofagun! I was really hoping to see you again. Priorities can be difficult to sort out sometimes, but it seems like you have yours in line. You need to take care of basic transportation first, (You have to get to work and back), and you don't want to find youeself and your family stranded with engine problems 100 miles away from home on a Sunday when there is little to no chance of finding someone to help solve your problems for a fair price. It might be as simple as a loose fitting or it could be as complicated as,.....(OK, we won't go there now).
We'll have another shoot in the spring, (When we switch back to Daylight Saving Time in the spring will be our next one), and more in the future. Don't jeopardize your safety for one afternoon of enjoyment. You'll have more opportunities in the future.
You could borrow or rent a car for the day, but that would eliminate a day that you could spend working on getting your problems solved.
You'll still be welcome at our next shoot. Sorry to hear that this one didn't work out for you. Take care of yourself.
I'm looking forward to seeing you in March 2017.
