Built a couple Kydex rigs for my new carry unit (S&W Shield)
#1
Thanks to the great guys at Lanco Tactical I was able to offload (and afford to do so) some Christmas money on a S&W Shield. I been wanting one and just happened to be in the right place at the right time.So far I am completely satisfied

Problem with a new carry gun is you need a way to carry it.

Looks great! Is that iwb holster with a mag carrier attached to it too?

How much did it cost you to make these? What tools are necessary? And where can I get ALL of the supplies to make my own?

this reminds me that you sent me an e-mail a while ago, which I completely forgot about ...

Tongue I hope you got some extra practice making light holsters with the surefire I've left there.

I'll send you an e-mail here this week then, see about when I can get down there again.

I can vouch for the holsters that he makes. I have 2 from him, owb and iwb and I love them.

Hi guys,

Yes that is a mag carrier built into the rig along with a separate mag carrier. It can be built without or could sub a flashlight or knife sheath

How much is hard to say starting from scratch, most of the parts are bought in bulk of at least 100pcs for items like the rivets, the hardware is purchased and sent out to be black zinc plated. The leather and kydex bought in hides and sheets an then there are the dyes, sealers and waxes. The list of tools would be extensive but you could make do with a couple standard garage implements like a drill, dremel, utility knife, sander etc. Then you have some of the more specialized pieces like the rivet flaring dies, leather edger and slickers along with however you decide to heat and press the form. Check online for knife making companies they often sell parts in smaller quantities or send me a list of parts and I can see what I can do

Ironsite, I was worried you had been abducted by Aliens or something. I have your pouch and would be happy to ship it just drop me an address to info @ vigitac.com

Thanks 4tun8! hope they serve you well. Sorry they aren't near as big and bulky as the majority on the market. I will try harder next time Wink
