I don't care if it won't hold up to jumping out of humvees and engaging skinnies in Somali street battles.
If it feeds reliably at the range, I'm OK with that.

Cool

Our needs are just different. Tongue

Seriously though for me personally I didn't spend $1100 on a Colt 6920 to buy magazines for it that have an unknown track record. It would be silly spending all that money on a rifle to have the magazines fail me if I ever need the rifle for defense. Now if it was my 22 rifle I would be willing to take a chance since a FTF every now and then is just a nuisance for a range plinker.

I don't know either, but unless you have some inside info on what Bulgarian Special Forces use, neither do you.

For all you know, these are standard issue for their H&K's, and for all we know they are not.

So my conjecture has just as much merit as yours, and that's none really.

No reason to add emotion and get upset, I never mentioned or implied that your conjecture has no merit. I don't know if these magazines have seen combat and that's the issue, if I knew they've been tested in battle I wouldn't be here making these comments. I would be on the internet researching where I can buy one. Tongue

I just want to see from multiple sources that these things are tested in combat conditions, like I saw with the P-Mags. That's all I am saying. Shrug
Emotion and upset over some mags and your uninformed comments regarding them?

Hardly.

I'll wait for Emptymags range report since I'm not going into combat any time soon.

Must be tough to buy things that are only combat proven.

It seems like you're getting upset with the standards I set forth for weapons I might call on for defense but hey it's the internet so I can be wrong. Before I buy anything that's more than $20 I do considerable research on the product before shelling out money. If I don't see any data on the products history I won't buy it until that history materializes. I'd like to see how Empty's testing goes and see how good the magazines really are.

If you're happy throwing money at a product with an unknown reputation more power to you, maybe you make the kind of money where you can afford to be a product tester. I don't make that kind of money so I buy products with proven quality and a track record. If that upsets you or anyone else no skin off my nose but I won't humor anymore post with veiled insults or sarcasm.

This was by no means a test that can determine long-term reliability, but I did get a chance to shoot the AR today using one of these mags.

I went to the range primarily to try out my new .22 AK47, so that was my focus. As such, I realized after getting everything out that I only had 30 rounds of .223 in my range box. Sad

I loaded it with ten rounds of Wolf topped by 20 rounds of Remington brass.
Unfortunately, I can't comment on how it felt to load all 35 rounds. Loading what I did load was as straightforward as loading any other .223 mag. "Press, snap, press, snap, press, snap..." Loading was simple enough.

I already had the bolt locked back, so I walked up to the line, inserted mag, depressed the bolt catch, and... nothing.

Hmmm...

I pulled the charging handle back and let go. Nothing. The bolt was forward a hair, I assume resting against the mag because the mag didn't want to drop free when the mag release was depressed.
I pulled the bolt back and locked it there, then removed the magazine.

I looked at the mag and didn't see anything unusual. The rounds were where they should be and nothing appeared to be damaged on the magazine.
Since I hadn't fired the AR in quite a while, I decided to apply some Weapon Shield to the contact points on the bolt surface. I moved the bolt back and forth a few times to distribute the lube, grabbed the same mag and...

Cool

I'll have to try it again another day, but thought I'd share that much with you. I have no idea what the issue was the first time, so I'll be interested to see if it happens again.

Hope you enjoyed the show because it freaking cost me $11 in ammo to show it to you!
