Cameras Catch Mystery Break-In at State Dept Whistleblower's Law Firm...
#1
Quote:The offices of a Dallas law firm representing a high-profile State Department whistleblower were broken into last weekend. Burglars stole three computers and broke into the firm’s file cabinets. But silver bars, video equipment and other valuables were left untouched, according to local Fox affiliate KDFW, which aired security camera footage of the suspected burglars entering and leaving the offices around the time of the incident.

The firm Schulman & Mathias represents Aurelia Fedenisn, a former investigator at the State Department’s Office of the Inspector General. In recent weeks, she raised a slew of explosive allegations against the department and its contractors ranging from illicit drug use, soliciting sexual favors from minors and prostitutes and sexual harassment. . . . Last month, her lawyers told The Cable that the department tried to intimidate her into silence. “They had law enforcement officers camp out in front of her house, harass her children and attempt to incriminate herself,” claimed Schulman.

I'm not positive, but I think being dead for almost two decades might count. Wink

John Dean killed people? He was mainly an intern lawyer that landed a job working as Nixon's primary attorney after Colson split. He was also quite young. His super long testimony in the Senate Watergate investigatory committee explained in graphic detail what went on and the thinking behind it, and Dean thought correctly at the end that Nixon's two evil aides, particularly Erlichman, were going to direct blame on Dean when Nixon asked him to resign.

Then when the Tapes popped up it validated every single thing the man said.

Dean wasn't there when the Plumbers were launched. He took his job towards the end when the coverup wasn't working.

And in the tapes the ONLY man to suggest and then order the misuse of the CIA was Nixon. Whether someone told Nixon he better get the CIA in to stop the FBI from snooping around well never know, but the tapes from June 23 1972 prove Nixon ordered the cover up. It was the Smoking Gun tape.

The travesty now is the CIA and FBI thanks to 9/11 are now one happy family under Homeland Security. And Watergate would not have become known to the public like it was if it wasn't for an acting FBI director who hated Nixon and told the Washington Post where to look.

We will never have any kind of check on executive power like that again. Homeland Security was the worst idea ever and we should be ashamed that a former Pennsylvania governor was at the helm of its creation.

Nah. Just shows, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Nothing new; Watergate references immediately sprang up as soon as this story broke.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

BTW on Colson (for history buffs)... Colson didn't reduce his White House duties due to the scandal; he went part-time in the WH because he was given more work to run CREEP (Committee to Re-Elect the President).

John Dean was a young buck brought in to basically take care of crap work that Colson no longer had time for, and because Colson was VERY instrumental in the cover-up (possibly the one who concocted the idea to tell the FBI to stop investigating because the CIA says this is jeopardizing national security), John Dean was thrust into a position where he was guiding the President what to do and say because Colson was one of the key people responsible for the Ellsburg break-in and Watergate. [Charles Colson was the first to go to prison for Watergate]

The Washington Post found out about Colson's involvment in Watergate very early on and ran stories about him and some stupid shit he did during the election so Nixon had to back away from him fast and Dean took over.

The reason why a lot of the public remember John Dean so much more than Haldenmann and Erlichmen was because of the super-duper-long testimony where he laid out some of the most damning unbelievable shit that made the White House appear to be a nuthouse, the TV coverage was live on all 3 major networks (and there was no Internet and nothing else but radio... so you couldn't ignore this stuff), and people were glued to their TV sets.

A lot of Americans who try to stay oblivious about what goes on in Washington were absolutely shocked by his testimony. The next year it got way worse than that when the transcripts of the Tapes came out and the public got to see first hand what a bi-polar schizo Nixon really was. His words made him look less Presidential and made him look more like a dirty big city political boss mayor.

The words "expletive deleted" didn't enter the American vernacular til the tape transcripts started running in all the newspapers in America.
