My usual carry gun is a old S&W Chiefs Special it is worn and beginning to rust. Can it be refinished in something better than blueing?

Contact Brian at Easton Firearms Refinishing. He would be the best one to answer this. Does excellent work.

Brian has done some tests on ceracoating revolvers. The cylinder face doesn't hold up.

I would look into nickel plating personally on a wheelgun.

You'll find guys who will. Brian being an honest guy will not, or at least suggest against it.

You'd probably be better off getting it re-blued, nickel plated, or maybe NP3'd.
