Property (outside home, no apparent life in danger) > life?

Disturbing, to say the least.

Maybe the guy learned the lesson that Peter Parker learned early on in his Spiderman career? If he would have let them go, they might go on and kill his Uncle Ben.

OR

Don't steal someones stuff and dont get your legs, knees broken.

Then I am sure a group would start.

Dollies for criminals. To wheel around.

What if the car was in his living room?
Soldats ! Faites votre devoir ! Droit au cœur mais épargnez le visage. Feu !

IIRC, Texas law says you can shoot somebody stealing your neighbor's stuff.

I agree it's extreme, but I guess it's true that you don't mess with Texas.

I despise thieves, but I might not shoot them if my life isn't in danger.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

Like I said, disturbing, to say the least.

I'll add Texas to the places never to go list, right after NY.

It's not that, that disturbs me, as I'm not a thief..., it's being surrounded by a people with the mindset that taking a human life over, stuff, is perfectly acceptable and even sometimes celebrated.
