No democrat on earth can be trusted on the issue of gun rights.

Period.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bob's daddy is rolling over in his grave because of the way he has become a puppet of the party. His father was a dem but he stood up for what was right even when it went against the party, not Bobby. Angry

I know what you are saying, but being apathetic and not doing anything at all does nothing to address what we are facing.

I just sent out certified letters to Casey, Toomey, and my house rep (Charlie Dent) asking them to vote NO on any proposed firearms restrictions in the coming legislative session.

I urge you all to do the same.

Quote:WASHINGTON - Sen. Bob Casey, who has long opposed new gun laws, said Wednesday that he had changed his views in the aftermath of last week's shootings in Newtown, Conn., and would support bills to ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips.

"If those two bills come before the Senate, I'll vote for both," Casey said. He said his decision amounted to being "summoned by your conscience."

Kim Stolfer, chairman of the Pennsylvania-based Firearms Owners Against Crime, reacted Wednesday night by calling Casey "a political opportunist seeking to curry favor with a public that knows nothing about the current level of laws."

Seriously?
Anyone fucking surprised?
Casey never supported gun rights.
He supported sportsmen, which means he could give a fuck.

He's never had to do anything but give lip service.

I always had no doubt that if any gun control measures pushed him to a have to make a decision it would go against us.

Oh and the next time the NRA gives the thumbs up to candidate tell them to stick their thumb up their ass.

The OP claims he voted for Obama and is now outraged that the party he votes for is after his guns?

That's rich right there!!!!!!

Here, a refresher from Ironsight via the thread titled "Who Wants Obama to Win?" in National Politics:
Quote:I'm actually a bit surprised, did everyone just miss the fact that I am voting for Obama?
from post #60

Quote:Whether or not Obama or Romney wins it won't affect, at all, the State-level activism that I do.
From post #5

Quote:I will agree that I don't think he'll get an all too friendly press, unless of course his abuses fall in line with the popular news of the day.

Something like: "Hey look a mass shooting, Romney pushes for an AWB in next national reciprocity bill."
From post #9 regarding Romney if elected

And on and on and on it goes....

One awesome point of awesome REP for the OP for him being pissed at the party he voted for!!!!

Awesome!!!!

No crap this was going to happen with Obama not facing a re-election, no crap all the Democrats would fall in lockstep right behind their dear leader.

Friggin Rahm Emanual (D) said it best:
You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” then-incoming White House Chief of Staff Emanuel said in November 2008, while discussing his political strategy at a Wall Street Journal conference. “And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Guess some people must have missed that.

Who the hell in their right mind ever thought Casey would break ranks with his dear leader?

If this wasn't such a serious matter, I'd find it amusing, all the outrage....

D's and R's... doesn't matter. Each side has massive and crippling unconstitutional faults.

What problem? Decreasing crime and homicide rates for 5 straight years?
