Cease Fire PA Voting Guide...

exclamation
Cease Fire PA has a voter guide... it's more like a road map to gun restriction of course.

Check it out if you have a few mins... well worth the read. I highlighted a few things I felt were worth noting.

Where Do The Candidates Stand On Gun Violence Prevention

Here's a few key excerpts:

Quote:Expand the Background Check System to Cover the Private Sale of Long Guns.

Rob McCord: Support. “In order to ensure consistency and clarity in the law, I would support updating Pennsylvania law to be consistent with the federal law.”

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support. “I support background checks that keep guns out of the hands of criminals while preserving the rights of law abiding gun owners.”

Quote:Giving municipalities in Pennsylvania the authority to regulate firearms and ammunition?

Rob McCord: Support.

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support. “While I support giving local municipalities that right to address gun violence, I believe that we need to enact laws at the state level, which are focused on keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.”

Quote:Strengthening standards for firearms locking devices, and/or requiring that all firearms be stored with a locking device in place?

Rob McCord: "I support extending the law regarding locking devices to long guns and improving testing and standards for long devices, but because of enforcement limitations, I do not believe it is feasible to require legal owners to store firearms in a locked device or with a locking mechanism, although I agree that it is a wise practice. Instead, I would support public information campaigns to alert firearm owners to the danger of not locking weapons. And I would look for ways that the state can make gun locks and storage devices more affordable to gun owners, or, even, provide them for free."

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support. "I support the right of law abiding residents to own guns but I also believe we need to adopt commonsense gun laws, like requiring gun owners to keep firearms and ammunition in separate secure locations."

Quote:Renewing the Federal ban on the sale and possession of
assault weapons?

Rob McCord: Support.

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support.

Quote:Imposing a BAN under Pennsylvania law on the sale and possession of assault weapons?

Rob McCord: Support.

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support.

Quote:Imposing a limit under Pennsylvania law on magazine capacity?

Rob McCord: Support.

Katie McGinty: Support.

Allyson Schwartz: Support.

Tom Wolf: Support.

I'm sure most of you have already seen this stuff, but I figured I'd put it up for those who have not.

Why do I have this bad feeling that this is where we're headed?

I just left Maryland. Want to lose your gun rights for "common sense" gun laws? Vote Democrat.

Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

And with Kane as the AG, it's going to be a campaign of "common sense" gun laws. Your neighbor, you know the clueless one, is going to start looking at you saying, "So, why do you need more than 10 rounds in a magazine? Can't you shoot straight?" Or, "Why do you need an ASSAULT RIFLE?"... It's a slow fade... Magazine capacity restrictions, limitations on weapon features, strict limitations on: when, where, how many, and to whom weapons can be sold. Strict concealed carry laws, making it impossible, or nearly so, for the average Joe to get an LTCF. Waiting periods, on handgun purchases. In the meantime , the major crimes rate will start to go up in all cities, as the thugs know that you have no way to defend yourself.

Because its exactly where we're headed. Look at our border states, with the exception of that little tiny bit of WV and OH, they're all anti-gun and OH has had the banning of "assault weapons" on the table before.

With Wolf and Kane, you can guarantee that when it comes to guns we'll be more like NY and NJ sooner rather than later.

At that point I think we're beyond the point for following rules...

I'm telling you, I just left Maryland and the liberal agenda says to never miss an opportunity to make something out of a crisis. Every time there was a shooting , like Newtown, CT, the more laws they'd pass.
