Any one else here besides me ever order from cheaper than dirt?
If so, what? How was the quality? Junk? Good? Gas masks legit? You get the idea Wink

I am getting ready to be able to spend a good bit of money here in the near future, and just wanted to see if everyone else was satisfied by them.

I have ordered ammo and a few other things but that was it.. I have always been wary on the quality of their stuff.

It really depends upon what you're ordering. Some stuff is good, some stuff is junk.

Best bet is to always buy surplus military whenever possible. You know it's built to a very high standard and tested in actual field conditions.

From what i've read, old surplus cheap gas masks are useless. I don't know if that's true, but i've read some articles that took that opinion.

We're lucky to have Cal Army/Navy Surplus here in sw PA (http://www.calarmy.com/). It's about 40 minutes south of me - I generally hit 'em up 2-3x a year, even if I don't need anything SPECIFIC, just because they've ALWAYS got good stuff!

I've gotten good stuff over the years from CTD, but read the item descriptions closely. A Condor bag there, is the same as a Condor bag anywhere else, but if you buy a Condor bag, EXPECTING a Tactical Tailor bag, you're GONNA be disappointed.

I price compare them with everybody else. Sometimes, you CAN get a bargain there - especially on ammo.

Yeah Ammo Is def good from them, I know that. I buy their 1000round reloads. Never had a problem.

I am more focused on the quality of their, Gear/tools/tents/lights/knifes/ and so on.

Streaker got it right. I have ordered from them and been happy with most of my purchases. I also don't buy what I know to be junk from them. With sites like that you have to be carefull.

I will add you can almost always find stuff cheeper if you search hard enough. A lot of the stuff they sell comes from closeouts and overseas. There are a ton of people selling the same items because they thought they could get rich quick. After a while they realize they fucked up and try to recoup some of the money back by selling their stuff as cheep as they can. Trust me I have been on that side of the fence.

This has been my experience with them, too. A lot of it is hit-and-miss but their ammo is always what I am expecting.

To be honest, I haven't bought anything that I wasn't happy with, but I base my decision upon the reviews, and I will do Olympic Diving Scoring for the reviews. Meaning, I'll throw out the best review and the worst review. The best because chances are you have the review trolls that'll post a positive review about anything, and the worst because you have the review trolls that just like to bitch about anything.

Gadsden_clr It is the same at most of those kind of places. The quality stuff can be found cheaper elsewhere and most of the rest is junk. Once in a while you find a good deal on a quality item.
