Christie: ‘I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo’

........
doesn't sound very "conservative to me"

........
Quote:The conservative Republican called in Bulman to thank him for a donation the union made to Sandy relief efforts in the state, and they chatted about where Christie likes to eat near Lake George as well as his neighboring governor, Democrat Andrew Cuomo.

[Bulman] said when he told Mr. Christie he is from upstate New York, “he said, ‘I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo. I probably agree with him on 98% of the issues.’ ” Mr. Bulman said Gov. Christie “sees value in the building trades, which are private sector unions. He complimented us and said he uses us as an example of a pro-business union.”

Like I said before, if Christie is anywhere near the GOP nod for the next presidential candidate, I'm going full-fledged Libertarian.

Calling Christie a conservative Republican is like calling Caesar Augustus a home body. It just isn't supported with fact.

Christie makes John McCain look like Reagan.

Hell, in most states he'd have to run as a Democrat. Jersey, NY and MD are special though.

I'm in there with you.

I vaguely recall people (maybe not on this forum but on the other) praising Christie.

I don't think he will. He pissed a LOT of people off with the way he acted in the run up to the election, essentially blaming all of NJ's problems on the Feds not acting quickly enough to give NJ money. Right now I have no idea who I'll be supporting but I would lean toward Bobby Jindal if he announced today. Wink

2016 isn't an "Unseat Obama No Matter What" election, and we don't have to 'take what we get' with him.

That being said, I am hoping for a true conservative.
