Claiming Santa was white is now racist...
They liberal talking heads have made it clear that in America's "great leap forward" that none of our traditions can be allowed to stand. Now assuming that Santa is white is indicative of racist thinking...

I'd like to outline a couple excepts from the article that should be good to check to see if your BP medication is working:

Quote:Two decades later, America is less and less white, but a melanin-deficient Santa remains the default in commercials, mall casting calls, and movies. Isn’t it time that our image of Santa better serve all the children he delights each Christmas?

"Melanin deficient" this may be a joke, but how is comment not openly racist? The obvious implication is that if you're white you're less than because you lack the chemical that makes your skin dark. What's more is that nobody has the balls anymore to call them on this shit and point out how these rabid, foaming at the mouth race baiters are more racist than anyone and are given the platform with which to spread hate by the LSM.

Quote:Yes, it is. And so I propose that America abandon Santa-as-fat-old-white-man and create a new symbol of Christmas cheer. From here on out, Santa Claus should be a penguin.
That’s right: a penguin.

Yes, big fat white man who gives presents to children and doesn't care about their race, just if they've been good or bad is inherently racist because anything white is inherently oppressive or bad.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind a black Santa. When I lived in North Philly the local mall had a black Santa because of the demographics of the surrounding neighborhood. I never had a problem with this at all. Honestly, I thought the whole thing was just plain funny. Still though, if I had children I would take them to see the traditional white Santa for their Christmas photo, but in today's world, just espousing that intention makes you a racist. I'm sorry though, Santa in popular culture is white and the image that conveys is an American tradition regardless of how these hypersensitive race baiters feel about it. I really can't stand this doctrine where all of our traditions are being destroyed one by one. When are we going to just say, "Oh, you're offended by my XXX? Fuck you, deal with it". Personally, I don't believe in the whole story of the Christian Christmas. At the same time if someone wants to put a religiously oriented holiday display of any kind outside city hall, so long as the people doing it are donating their time and decorations and the tax payers who may or may not agree with it aren't footing the bill. It annoys the shit out of me where some group gets offended and the city folds and takes the display down out of fear. Even though I agree with some of the athiest beliefs out there, I don't understand what it accomplishes to attack another person's traditions so long as it isn't costing you money, or hurting you in some way, but that isn't to say that just the athiests are the only ones guilty in this bullshit. You don't have to be a Christian to see the value in a holiday that brings people together, helps the needy and provides emphasis on the family. I personally go around saying "Merry Christmas" as opposed to "Happy Holidays" just to spite the PC police.

What really gets me above all else is that while our rights are being taken away left and right, the country is going down in flames, and we have a criminal running our government, the major media networks want to spend time arguing about whether Santa is black and should be represented by a fucking penguin rather than the image our society has agreed upon over our collective history! I really wonder what it's going to take before the people start to really push back hard over the degradation of our culture. Every day the progressive agenda just takes another piece and rewrites another page of our history... all the while misdirecting us from the real waste, fraud and abuse that is rampant in the system.

Hmm. An imaginary persona based upon traditions from overwhelmingly white cultures, with its roots in names like Kris Kringle, Sinterklaas, Pere Noel, Saint Nicholas, and a few others, is a racist construct and needs to be addressed. I say go for it if it makes them feel any better. It's not like this country has bigger woes to address. Rolleyes

Let's go with this guy. He more closely represents the 3-ring circus Christmas has become.

You want white? I'll give ya some freakin' white.

I'm sure the Greek, the Dutch, the Germans, the Belgians, the Italians, the Swedish, and the other European nations from which the amalgamation we know as Santa Claus originated will be interested to find out that they're not white.

I swear, the left didn't see that film "White Man's Burden" as a creative way to address how we should be race blind, but instead saw it as their futuristic utopia.

I’m not sure which is worse. Them going out of their way to be outraged about such silliness or us going out of our way to be outraged by their outrage.

No outrage here. They can kill Santa if they want and I'll sleep just fine. Turn him into a fat harlequin dwarf clown riding a penguin drawn carriage and I'll LMAO.

Unless, of course, mere participation in this thread constitutes outrage. In that case, we are outraged at your outrage at our outrage at their outrage.

That's pretty outrageous if you ask me. Wink

And here's to wishing you all a fine christmahanukwanzstivus.

So much drama over imaginary people. People need to find better things to do with their time.

PS Happy holidays is not a PC thing, it's recognition of the fact that there is a lot more than just Christmas going on. Christmas is but one day out of the holiday season. Merry Christmas is fine on that one day... Why do Christians expect it for the entire season? There's more going on than just Christmas, and happy holidays is a perfectly acceptable way of recognizing that. People don't say it to be offensive or PC. To be bothered by it indicates a great narcissism and arrogance, IMO.

+1...I'll just leave this here...

Santa Claus: An Engineers Perspective

I. There are approximately two billion children (persons under 18) in the world. However, since Santa does not visit children of Muslim, Hindu, Jewish or Buddhist religions, this reduces the workload for Christmas night to 15% of the total, or 378 million (according to the Population Reference Bureau).
At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per house hold that comes to 108 million homes, presuming that there is at least one good child in each.

II. Santa has about 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 967.7 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with a good child, Santa has around 1/1000th of a second to park the sleigh, hop out, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left for him, get back up the chimney, jump into the sleigh and get on to the next house.
Assuming that each of these 108 million stops is evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course, we know to be false, but will accept for the purposes of our calculations), we are now talking about 0.78 miles per household; a total trip of 75.5 million miles, not counting bathroom stops or breaks. This means Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second --- 3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest man-made vehicle, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4 miles per second, and a conventional reindeer can run (at best) 15 miles per hour.

III. The payload of the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium sized Lego set (two pounds), the sleigh is carrying over 500 thousand tons, not counting Santa himself. On land, a conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300 pounds. Even granting that the "flying" reindeer could pull ten times the normal amount, the job can't be done with eight or even nine of them--- Santa would need 360,000 of them. This increases the payload, not counting the weight of the sleigh, another 54,000 tons, or roughly seven times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth (the ship, not the monarch).

IV. 600,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance --- this would heat up the reindeer in the same fashion as a spacecraft re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer would absorb 14.3 quintillion joules of energy per second each. In short, they would burst into flames almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer behind them and creating deafening sonic booms in their wake.
The entire reindeer team would be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second, or right about the time Santa reached the fifth house on his trip.

Not that it matters, however, since Santa, as a result of accelerating from a dead stop to 650 m.p.s. in .001 seconds, would be subjected to centrifugal forces of 17,500 g's. A 250 pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim) would be pinned to the back of the sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force, instantly crushing his bones and organs and reducing him to a quivering blob of pink goo.

Therefore, if Santa did exist, he's dead now.

Merry Christmas!

"Early legends

According to myths dating to the beginning of the 19th century,[citation needed] Saint Nicholas operated by himself or in the companionship of a devil. Having triumphed over evil, it was said that on Saint Nicholas Eve the devil was shackled and made his slave.
20th century

Until the second half of the 20th century, Saint Nicholas' helper was not too bright, in line with the old colonial traditions.[clarification needed] Once immigration started from the former colonised countries, Zwarte Piet became a much more respected assistant of Saint Nicholas, inattentive but playful.[16] Most of the Zwarte Pieten also gained significant skill in acrobatics.

According to a popular explanation that came to prominence in the later decades of the 20th century, Zwarte Piet is a Spaniard, or an Italian chimney sweep, whose blackness is due to a permanent layer of soot on his body, acquired during his many trips through the chimneys.[17][18]"

LOL. Yeah, they caught a lot of shit for that last year.

IIRC, they didn't much care, either.

I've always thought Krampus was way cooler and even less PC. Shrug.
