Yes, replies are ok but please do not trash someone's ad with stuff like "your price is too high" or "this thing is junk!" If you don't like someone's ad, just move on or PM them in private with polite, constructive suggestions.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I would never and dont expect others to conduct themselves in that manner either. If someone would reply with crap like that, they deserve an infraction. I was just wondering for the *first I'll take it/timestamp policy a lot of other places use.

Sweet. Now the classifieds might actually be useful, unlike those on "the site that shall not be named".

We haven't discussed this as a Staff, but I don't believe we intend to interfere or try to police private transactions. If a seller decides to sell to someone other than the first person that responded, don't expect us to get involved. Those forums are here for a convenience, not to make extra work for staff, and we don't offer any type of fraud protection, etc.

Maybe a disclaimer should be on each classified add, like that other place did.

That's not a bad idea, but folks should also not expect some type of service/protection that has not been promised them. As always, buyer beware.
