I've got a Bowie knife that spent way too much time in the leather sheath in storage. It now has brown marks on the blade from being in contact with the inside of the leather. How does one go about cleaning those off? I'd rather not have to sit and sand and polish the blade. I've always sucked at that.

Any aluminum oxide paste, like Metal Glo, will do the trick. Hoppes makes one, as well.
