We couldn't possibly understand it therefore they wont bother to explain it. Go on now and just trust that your government has things under control.

...........and my generation (I'm in my 20s) will believe him and support that idea because he's known for getting BJs from Monica and smoking pot when he was younger. Also my generation were teenagers and younger at that time so of course they are going to think that era was a good period in American history. They had no worries in the world except who to ask to the dance or which mall to go visit.

You're generation are a bunch of idiots if a guy saying "you're too dumb to know that you're easily swayed" will sway them.

No argument here. But you also have to remember that a lot of the baby boomers who were smoking pot, doing cocaine, and taking LSD are now running the country and voting. Big Grin

I don't support the O and neither does my best buddy stuck behind enemy lines in NY. Sadly, the liberal propaganda machine is strong in NY and if it doesn't have a D next to it's name it's concentrated evil and the younger voters in the city are all about the Liberals...

Oh crud! Romney is talking about a 20% reduction in the with-holding rate for all taxpayers. So what? Some jackass is going to complain that his 20% is smaller than someone elses?

Here's the way it runs, top rate now 30% will be 24%, next rate 28% will be 22.4% and so on down the line all the way to the lowest rate. Romney also speaks of ending certain deductions and loopholes, but doesn't say exactly which ones.

How about we consider a cap of say 20% of GDP as the maximum for tax revenues and a cap of 17% as the maximum for federal gov expenditures. The 3% left over can be used to retire debt and/or build a cash reserve. Building a cash reserve will reduce the need for short term borrowing. That is borrowing done to cover expenditures unmet by revenue collections.
