Companies plan massive layoffs as Obamacare becomes reality
#1
Freedom Works has put together a list of companies that will be laying off employees as a result of President Barack Obama's health care law:

What better way to guarantee more votes in 2016 than by making more people dependent on government assistance?

I expect to see a lot more of this.

I also suspect a lot of companies will be 1) dropping healthcare coverage (fines being cheaper than annual insurance premiums) or 2) reduce all employees' hours below the minimum hours required to give health insurance.

Basically, the plan to give everyone healthcare is just going to screw us out of it and drive people to the .gov for healthcare. Angry

That is only part of the plan.....

This will crush the current system and make congress and the state government irrelevant.

And from the ashes we will go from a republic to a dictatorship BEFORE 2016. This last election will go down in history next to the election that brought Adolph Hitler to power.

Got Communism?

welcome to obumaville , where everyone needs 3 part time jobs to survive
It's the "BILL OF RIGHTS" not the bill of "needs"

Trouble is with three "part time" jobs you won't have paid enough taxes so you'll end up owing what you made and be lucky to break even.

Number one is a real possibility and may be the approach we take. But, and it's a big but - nobody yet knows how the new laws will effect us so I don't understand how any is letting workers go based on something that is not yet settled. We were told that by paying the fine our health care costs could actually be lower than today. Which means more money in our pockets.

These stories just make no sense.

It would also mean more people sucking at the government tit because your employees will need to get involved in the government plan. When it fails due to the stress of adding so many people so quickly who do you think is going to have to pick up the bill? All it does is add more money to the freaking deficit or the tax roles, guess which one they'll go to first? Either way it will hit all of our pockets.

Honestly, there is too much we don't know to make that case. Or any case. You may be right. But it may end up being taking money out of one pocket instead of another. Our current system is so screwed up its hard to think it getting much worse. Not saying it won't but......

Besides, from what we are told it still going to be private insurance being offered to the workers. It's how it's funded is all that is changing.

I used to work in healthcare and I read the legislation, as passed, thoroughly. We're screwed starting in 2014. If, at that time, you are without healthcare you will be put on the government plan and once on the plan you can not get off it. It's all a giant scheme to force people into a single payer system. It was just all done behind closed doors and was planned so it could be phased in. Anyone not on an employer plan as of 1/1/14 gets to go government. Oh, Boy!AngryAngryAngry

Not saying you are wrong but I have yet to see anywhere about the single payer. Our experts that we pay to explain it all to us have also said its not in the deal. They are right about one thing, much of the high costs come for those without insurance.

You I'm sure know more about this than me be so far we are not too worried.
